Young Hermit’s Secret

I hide in fog and water, I cross the fire and run through the sky,
The only survivor in the descendants of ninja is me,

My father and brother achieved the missions and died in cruel war,
I was a faithful soldier trained strictly from childhood,

However, I am a quiet hermit and ecological farmer in a mountain now,
I knew with deep sorrow the emptiness of repeating fight for murder,

Surely, father will call me a coward,
Sorry, but I feel the life is holier than honor,

My dear friends are pretty squirrels in the forest,
They give lovely fresh acorns to me in fine morning,

I talk with animals and love wildflowers singing cheerily,
All lives are full of joy, I am unified with Mother Nature,

This peaceful place is a secret not to be found by assassins,
And it is a secret whether I am a man or a woman,

Today, I heard the violent noise of war far away again,
My eyes like a clairvoyant cat see everything in autumn moonlight,
If the world is wrong, I go my way alone.
